I wrote a new scene in chapter 14 of Metrognomes today that better fleshes out one of the characters. I just needed to reveal a motivation for what happens with this character later in the series, so that it doesn't appear to have come out of nowhere in the second book. It's nice. I borrowed heavily from Plato's "Lysis, or Friendship" for this scene. I did it deliberately to make it clear what this character is feeling. I also signed an advertising agreement with iUniverse. We still have to wait and see what happens with that. I should know something by tomorrow.
