Yesterday the new (very) short story "The Gift" went up on the site. The book block is only about a page longer than the front matter. The print edition may go on sale today. Meanwhile, I am sick as a dog and haven't done a thing all day. :(

I was just forced to upgrade my blogger. I'm not sure what that means, but I assure you I was kicking and screaming. Monday, for sure, "The Gift" will be posted as a free download on the Web site. The print edition may follow later that same day or on Tuesday.

I've been overcoming adversity again. I'm running behind on everything. I took the day off for the sole purpose of having a nervous breakdown, but I haven't quite managed one yet. Meanwhile, all of the dark T-shirts are now also available in brown, charcoal, red, and royal; the ringers are all now available with red rings; and the Music of the Metrognomes baby outfit is available in baby blue and pink. We're also working on getting the Web site to look a little better. Hopefully next week things will be better, and "The Gift" will at long last be posted. --- Glenn

I'm taking a break. Been up all night revising the manuscript of the now much more fancily titled Metrognomes: Book I: The Shaman's Apprentice. So tedious! I expect to be crazy today. I hope the publisher will find the changes satisfactory. It's mostly punctuation, and they wanted a sub-title (already had one in my head anyway). Right now I'm scanning the MS for unnecessary ellipses, then I have to try and work in a bit of dialogue that should solve one of the issues they had with the title. Otherwise, the sub-title should be solution enough.

How 'bout an update? I have the cover art for my new really short e-book "The Gift" and it should be posted between now and Monday. I've had the cover art for a while now, but I've also had other priorities. The winter newsletter should be up at about the same time. As for now, I am frantically trying to get my latest "final" draft of Metrognomes turned in to the publisher by this afternoon to meet the February 6 (which it is) deadline. There are only a few tiny changes left to be made.
