Quick Update

Time for a quick update, before I get back to work. ;)

I'm listening to the new Erasure album, Snow Globe, because Erasure rules. :)

I've sent the new episode in The Legends of Nod off to my editor, who is doing her best to get it marked up and mailed back as quickly as possible to meet the December release slot. Fingers crossed! Otherwise, it will likely be released in March of next year. It's novella length, so I have no idea how long it will take to mark up. She also likes to doodle, which makes her critiques easer to accept, but also takes a bit more time. Worth it. lol

Right now I'm working on updating my Nod continuity guide with all of the new info on characters, locations, and various other thingamajigs that happened to make an appearance or have a mention in this episode. When that's accomplished, I've got a short story that needs to be finished, which is the most likely next project on my desk, but it all depends on timing. This short story in particular is specifically set to be one of my Christmas Eve ghost stories, so if there is no way to make the release slot this year, the project will be postponed. Last year we went creepy with "The Christmas Spirit," this year, we're going weird. Very weird.

I have no update on this year's Christmas Eve ghost story reading, at present. I'm still not sure we're going to be able to pull it off, as much as I really do want to. It's just difficult to find a venue at that time of year. I'm still willing to move it up to December 23, if necessary, but I need a certain amount of lead time to do it the way that I want to. I would have just done the reading in my office, if the rug hadn't been yanked out from under me this year, along with my office. :( The fact that it's been "one of those years" is one of the reasons I very much want to find a way to do the reading. I'm looking into locally owned book stores, here in Dallas, because I want to support the little, non-chain book stores. I will keep you posted. If it's going to happen, we'll have to make an announcement within a couple of weeks at the latest.

If I don't wind up writing the new ghost story next, I'll be jumping ahead to splitting my time between a few collaborative YouTube projects for next year and the next cycle in The Chronicles of Nightfire, Texas. So there will be no down time for this writer, here at the end of the year. :)

And there you have it. I'll keep you posted on all of the above as things progress. Peace!

Complete Short Fiction Library Now on Kindle!

As of today, all of my short fiction will have at long last been converted into modern e-book formats with the Kindle releases of "Metrognomes: Worse than a Gremlin" and "The Escapist." Whew! That only took two-and-a-half years or so! lol Now all that remains are my two novels, which are stickier to convert, as they are with different publishers. Hopefully an announcement about Cry, Wolf will be coming soon, but Metrognomes: The Shaman's Apprentice is tied up at iUniverse until at least next summer, because of the movie pitch that is still under consideration. We may do a Kindle conversion through iUniverse, but it will take longer to work out than where we are right now with Cry, Wolf. Rest assured, both of my novels will be converted. It's just a matter of time and dotting "i"s and crossing "t"s. And, face it, probably crossing "eyes" as well. But it will happen. :)

Meanwhile, I am working on The Legends of Nod #2 "All for the Blood of Nightstorm." I met with an artist to do some concept work for me and basically laid out the full scope of the Nod series for him. It was fun. That was two weeks ago this coming Wednesday. I am still optimistic about getting the new episode out by the end of the year, so keep checking back at the GlennSladeClarkJr.com release schedule. We've already got a page up on the site for Nod #2, featuring the logo that can be accessed by clicking the recently added "Next Episode" button on the page for "The Dragons of Nod."

Nod #2 will be my only focus until it is finished, polished, and packaged at this point. I am determined to have it out by December, but there is much work still to be done in order to make that happen. Meanwhile, check out every bit of short fiction I've ever done on Kindle, if you haven't already! :D Most of them go for just 99 cents. :)

Peace!
