I'm Such a Slacker
I have not been very productive writing in recent weeks. I've been wrapping up summer/starting up fall with the youth group, which consists of LOTS of meetings, two of them all day long. In fact, I have a meeting with my volunteer team tonight that I intend to spend the bulk of my day preparing for. I've been reading, but not enough. The book I'm reading presently is Star Wars: Riptide. It's pretty darn good! I picked it back up this morning. Trying to read two chapters a day. I've been watching a lot of the original Dark Shadows on DVD. Josette duPres just jumped off a cliff and croaked while I was having my breakfast. Very sad, but it had to be done. lol And I've been doing the Insanity workout for a while. Technically, I started two weeks ago yesterday, but it took me a full five days to get through the fit test, so I really and truly just started week 2 yesterday. I've been at it devotedly since finishing that freakin' test that almost killed me!
Now for some writing stuff. Yesterday, I did a fourth draft of The Chronicles of Nightfire, Texas #14. I'm very happy with it. I just need to check one thing continuity-wise, and it's formatting time. I'm still waiting for word on the re-release of my novels and The Great Debate in hardback. Sigh. I no longer think they'll be out by the end of the year, but it is possible. We'll just have to see what develops. And I still pretty much suck at keeping this blog current. As of today, though, I guess I'm doing all right again. :)
I'll have more to report after next week, when all of the major youth-related new school year meetings are behind me, and the program is running smoothly forward for the next four months or so.
I'm setting a goal for myself to update this blog at least once a week! Slap me if I don't!
