Ack!!!! My life is full of crazy leprechauns! All of them after me lucky charms! Leprechauns and slack-vampires! Always stealin' my slack! So things are crazy running behind, yo. I will thank you all to remember the color code on the release schedule. The blue type means projected release date. Only the white type is set in stone. That being the case, we aren't really officially behind in the publishing schedule at all. Only behind where we'd like to be. So, as of now, The Chronicles of Nightfire, Texas #6 "Secrets of the Nephilim" should be published as a free download no later than this coming Monday. Could be sooner, but no promises while I am fighting for my slack! Okay, so Haiku #27 was written in white. Apologies! I had a permission issue, but it's been cleared up. So it was posted today. Enjoy! The print edition of Nightfire #6 should go on sale no later than This coming Tuesday, along with the print edition of "Worse than a Gremlin." I have almost none of these amazing print editions myself, but would like them all for Christmas. Metrognomes, until further notice from my overworked, underpaid, BRILLIANT illustrator Molly Brimer and the good folks at iUniverse who will hopefully be distributing it, should now be released around October 22. So there you have it. I'm optimistic about getting things back on track. Thinking about what my fourth book is gonna be.

Haven't posted anything in a while. There's just been too much drama in my writing/publishing life. As a result, everything just keeps getting pushed back. Because of cover art issues, Metrognomes has probably been pushed back a couple of weeks. The Chronicles of Nightfire, Texas #6 Secrets of the Nephilim has been continually pushed back; however, Sean came by and did the cover on Thursday night; so look for the free e-book version to be posted on the site later in the day/evening on Monday the 29th. Whew! It's a great cover too. Haiku #26 was posted on the 22nd, proving that I haven't completely disappeared. Though I'd like to sometimes...just for a little while. Think I'll go to the beach next month for a day or two, if I can manage to juggle my schedule just right.

I posted "Haiku #25" It's superb.

I added a link to Sean's band Pallette. I'm supposed to be redrafting Metrognomes again, but I seem to be procrastinating. The prospect of "re-writing" a book I've already written three times never appeals to me, but then, once I get started, I always have fun. Just need to start!

And before I forget to mention once again...I found out what happened to the e-book version of Cry, Wolf. Seems all of Xlibris' e-books went out of print in October. They just decided that they were no longer in the e-book business. I'll probably be shopping it around for another e-book edition in the future. Right now, however, I'm focused on Metrognomes.
I talked to Molly, and we are meeting on Monday to discuss the new direction for the cover art. Yay! The Chronicles of Nightfire, Texas #6 has now officially been pushed back another week. Look for it on the 22nd. The subtitles for #s 7-13 have been added to the release schedule too.
Looks like we're gonna be pushing Nightfire #6 back another week. Same reason. It's been one of those weeks. My day job is killing me! But...they are also paying me. Hmmm....is it really worth it? Do I really need to eat? I'll give it some thought. Molly sent me a mock-up of her cover idea for Metrognomes. It's due on Monday, but that may be pushed back as well, considering I just realized how many great ideas I now have in addition to what she's come up with. I'm going to try and talk her into another meeting. Maybe if I make my voice sound all sexy-like, she won't give me any grief over all the grief I bring to her life. It's just...she's so talented! How can I not exploit that?

Okay, so I posted an update here four days ago, and all that showed up was the date. I have no idea what happened. So I deleted the blank space. Yesterday we decided to push the publication of The Chronicles of Nightfire, Texas #6 back a week, because of cover art. Sean's concept is brilliant! So no complaining. It will still go up this month. We're touching base on Tuesday, and he thinks it will only take him a day to do, but he has to do it over here, instead of at home, because he's an artist, and he must make absurd demands, because artists are eccentric, and we let them get away with it as long as they have the talent to back it up, which he does. Yesterday I went to see a reading of a one-scene play my friend Marta K. Thompson wrote. It was at the Bath House Cultural Center by White Rock Lake. I'd been lucky enough to read it as she was writing it, and even help her time it. It was cool seeing professional actors read it though. (Aside from Marta, because she's a pro herself, but this time she's the playwrite). The play was called Top Dog. It was absolutely fabulous. The other two plays that followed hers were good too. I'm feeling better, by the way, think I'll come back to life this week. If the world will have me!
