Lots going on today. Haiku #56 went up on the site for those who want to read it. This one was inspired by Sebastian back before he was walking, maybe two visits ago. He's two now! Also, the next ten haikus have been added to the release schedule.
In the Merchandise section, "The Rainbow-Colored Sheep" poster is ready to order. It's available in four different versions: 23" x 35" with a black border, white border, or full bleed and 16" x 20" full bleed.
Other than that, I updated the Q & A page, revising the answer to "When is your next book coming out and what is it about?" and adding the all-too often asked question, "Is The Great Debate the sequel to Cry, Wolf?"
As far as my writing, I spent last week doing research for "Metrognomes II." This week I'm doing some research for The Penny Dreadful. I've also been going over the proofs for Metrognomes: The Shaman's Apprentice.
Right now, however, I have to write my article for the church paper, before the office manager kills me. Peace!

At long last, the Web site has been updated (just a bit.) All of that "under construction" stuff has been happily deleted and removed from my life, so that little things can be put up as I want them to be. So, look forward to more haikus in the...oh, all right. The big reveal is today! Click here to check out the final front cover and the final back cover synopsis for Metrognomes: The Shaman's Apprentice. The Metrognomes series logo is also now featured at the top of the page.
Other than that, we've got a long overdue link to order the print edition of "The Gift" up on the appropriate page. It's been on the Merchandise page for months, but all we had up on the story page was a link to download the e-book.
Now that all the works-in-progress have been erased, look forward to more frequent updates to the main site from here on out.

I just recieved the proofs this morning for Metrognomes. I've got a Youth Council event that lasts all weekend, so I should be able to look them over by Monday. The book is 279 pages long. The trade paperback editon is priced at $17.95. I don't have the details for the e-book yet. An educated guess at the e-book price would be $6.00. The hardback edition is still in limbo, but the intention is to have a hardback at some point soon after the paperback and e-book release. I know, sounds backwards, but, you know...whatever. Long as the book comes out, I'm happy.

Many apologies for the long silence. I've been busy with youth stuff. Fortunately, the good people at iUniverse have also been busy. The cover of Metrognomes is finished, and they sent it to me for my approval yesterday. We'll be posting it on the Web site soon. It's basically the cover you've seen, with the new Metrognomes logo and my name added to it. I am to blame for how long it took to get the cover finished. I was difficult about it, and they went back and made changes to the logo. More on that later. The story and alternate logo will probably turn up under "extras" on the Metrognomes section of the Web site after the book hits shelves.
As of today, the novel finally went into full production. I should have galleys in hand between October 4 and 18. After that, I would imagine another 6 weeks or so before it goes on sale over the Internet, and maybe a couple more weeks for it to be available in stores. That's a guesstimate that has you reading the book by December.
As for The Chronicles of Nightfire, Texas, I know it's grossly overdue, but I've had absolutely no time to devote to it. #11 has been written for some time. It still has no cover art. I'm hopeful that we'll see it posted very soon, and that #12 should be posted on schedule this December.
In the meantime, if you haven't read my first two books, they are still in print! Please read them. It's been over four years since my last one came out, and I'm getting hungry. (Parents of youth in my group, ignore that request! lol. My first two books were written with another target readership in mind. Not meant for folks under 18. Hold out for Metrognomes. It was written with young people in mind.)
Now I'm off to scavenge for food.
